This plate

On 2026-04-14 a plate was briefly published at this URL under the title Reparations ETA. The framing abstracted the HBCU / Ivy endowment gap as a proxy for reparations.

That framing is wrong. Reparations is a specific framework about a much broader set of harms — stolen labor, stolen land, denied generational wealth, Jim Crow, redlining, disinvestment, mass incarceration. An endowment comparison is a single institutional marker. It is not a reparations accounting, and calling it one understates what reparations actually demand.

The plate shipped without a Cultural Validator pass — a protocol failure on our end. We pulled it. A reframed version will return under a different name (e.g., The Endowment Divide) only after the Cultural Validator has reviewed the framing and the methodology explicitly names what the plate is and is not.

Reason
Reductive framing — conflated a single institutional disparity with the concept of reparations
Process failure
Cultural Validator was not invoked before public deploy. This should not have happened and will not again.
Next
Reframe under a defensible title · Cultural Validator pass documented · re-deploy when cleared
